Omar is a qualified Men's Assistant Coach, and has attended the Men's Club Coach course. He has been a coach with Birmingham Lasers since 2004 and is also the club's Welfare Officer and committee Chair Person. Omar has been doing gymnastics at a recreational level since he was 5 years old. He gave up gymnastics for 8 years until his thirst for it got the better of him, and at the ripe old age of 20 he came back! Ever since, he has not only continued to do it himself (mainly tumbling), but also has assisted in coaching adults and children up to regional level.
